Q. I have a small, portable one-room air conditioner that I've used for several years. Now, some of the grease has leaked from the rear of the unit onto the vinyl siding of my house. How do I clean it off?
A. Always try soap and water first or the cleaner that is recommended. Having said that, and because the grease you're describing is probably a petrochemical based material (not silicone), it can probably best be cleaned using something like gasoline or acetone.
First, make sure there are no flames or sparks nearby, and turn off and disconnect any nearby appliances that could spark while you're working. No smoking during this project.
Then, simply put a very small amount of gasoline onto the rag and wipe. The stain will disappear.

Iran-Thailand trade 'up 75 per cent'
Non-oil trade between Iran and grew to $410 million in the first half of this year, up 75 per cent over the comparable 2006 figure of $234.60m, the Iranian ambassador to Thailand said on Saturday. Mohsen Pakaeen did not provide any figures on Thai oil imports from his country, according to Iranian news agencies. But he said the so-called "non-oil" trade was heavily in Thailand's favour _ $391 million worth of exports to Iran against just $18.94 million in imports from Teheran. The ambassador said he has called on Iranian businessmen to visit Thailand more often in order to continue the export growth in both directions, citing improved flights between Teheran and Bangkok which "make the situation proper for the traders," the Iranian news agency Mehr News Agency reported.
John Watson: Sand Flat still a small country community
Sand Flat, a small community midway between Cleburne and Grandview, is one of the older communities in Johnson County.According to a letter in the "Johnson County Scrap Book, Volume 3," at the Cleburne Public Library, George N. Logan and his family left Kentucky in a wagon pulled by oxen in 1853. When they arrived in the area that is now Johnson County, they found the land was not what they expected it to be and went back to East Texas, where they lived for five years. While in East Texas four of their eight sons died, one having been killed by Indians. In 1858 they packed up again and returned to Johnson County, where they had friends living. This time they settled in Sand Flat.Two things that held the early communities together were the school and church. This is where things get interesting.
