The Wabash County Retail Merchants Committee (RMC) outlined plans for its upcoming fundraiser basketball games during Tuesday morning's regular monthly meeting at Hogg Heaven in Mt. Carmel.The event will consist of two games - one between the "Guns" (law enforcement) and the "Hoses" (firefighters), and one between the "Books" (District 348 educators) and the "Band-Aids" (medical personnel).There will also be a third game this year, according to Event Coordinator Rod Rodriguez."We're going to call it a tournament this year because we're going to have a third game," said Rodriguez. "We're going to bracket Guns and Hoses - Books and Band-Aids, and whoever wins those ball games will play for City Champion and have bragging rights for a year."

Trane Directors Declare Quarterly Dividend of 16 Cents Per Share of ...

The dividend is payable on March 20, 2008, to shareholders of record on March 3, 2008. First of all I would like to say I have lost two family members in Afghanistan, and that if I was able to re-join Princess Pat. over there I would, only because I feel obligated to help my fellow soldiers. That said, this mission is one that would go on forever. It doesn't really matter how much stability is brought to the region, as soon as western countries leave, it will again become ruled by Islamist warlords. There is a lot of money to be made in the poppy fields and as long as that remains true, the warlords will return. Now the reasons we went in there in the first place I am sure time will show were false as well. You cannot claim we are there to protect womens rights etc. because if thats what we are doing there we have a few hundred more countries to occupy over there.

It's an incredibly popular place for people to go and watch the game. I've never done it myself, but there are a lot of people that do. Not any more. The NFL has sent out letters to the owners of these operations to stop showing these games because they violate copyright laws. This according to the Journal Sentinel. Brian McCarthy, an NFL spokesman, said in an e-mail that the league recently became aware that the businesses were showing Packers games. "We let them know they are violating copyright law and longstanding NFL policies that prohibit mass out-of-town viewing of NFL games," he said. I think this is just one more way for the NFL in it's money grubbing way to screw the fan out of an awesome viewing experience. This just makes me think even more that some day we will have to pay a per game price to see our favorite team play on TV.
Evidence of industry 'greening' at AIME 2008
A strong showcase of environmentally friendly products at the tradeshow for the business events industry next month is further evidence of the rapid 'greening' of the industry. Leading the charge is the event itself, AIME 2008, held in Melbourne on 19 - 20 February, which has announced it will be Australia's first Climate Neutral(tm) exhibition. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, an exhibitor and the event's venue, will showcase its new Melbourne Convention Centre, which is the first convention centre in the world to have achieved a '6 Star Green Star' environmental rating. Some of the environmental features include a black water recycling plant, solar panels, energy saving controls on lighting, and having smart air conditioning. Another leading international venue to feature at AIME, the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, also has an extensive environmental program.
