Brian Foster of Meridian Commercial is marketing 201 Alameda del Prado for lease or sale. The asking price for the three-story office building is $9.84 million, or about $300 a square foot. *** Marin Freeholders LP, which built 139,000 square feet of office and flex space in the Industrial Marinship District of north Sausalito in the 1960s and 1970s, wants to sell it as a portfolio, according to Orion Partners' Jerry Suyderhoud, who is marketing the property with part-owner John Greene of R.H. Greene. The 11 buildings sit on seven parcels totaling 5.42 acres along Colma Street between Bridgeway and Gate Five Road. The complex is totally full with 80 tenants, including Sausalito Mini Storage and Pacific Laser. The owners are taking bids on the portfolio and may sell the parcels individually, according to Mr.
An Iraqi soldier guards a polling station in Wana,
As a result, last month's national referendum on the constitution was a key factor in determining whether or not the majority of the Iraqi people agree with the vision of the New Iraq —or reject it entirely. The narrow margin by which the referendum passed makes clear there's no definitive answer to that question. Until just two days before the polls opened, the leadership of most Sunni groups were once again encouraging their followers to boycott the vote. Last-minute talks and promises of immediate amendments convinced the largest of them, the Iraqi Islamic Party, to encourage their supporters to vote “Yes." A day after the announcement, its headquarters in Baghdad was attacked by a bomber, underscoring the fracture even among homogenous groups. In contrast to their leadership's decision to adopt the new constitution, Sunnis from the provinces of Anbar and Salah El-Din turned out in huge numbers and voted it down.
Green spaces? : Switching to hybrids could get a little more enticing
Driving a fuel-efficient vehicle could save a few dollars at the gas pump as well as the parking meter. The Off-Street Parking Improvement District No. 1 gave its approval Tuesday to an ordinance that would allow vehicles that can travel 40 or more miles per gallon of gasoline to park free in some areas of downtown Fayetteville. Sharon Crosson, parking manager for the city, said she wanted to get the district's blessing on the ordinance before going to the City Council. The city contracts with the district to lease three downtown parking lots: one behind the E. J. Ball Plaza, one catty-cornered to that lot and one at Spring Street and East Avenue. Some of the revenue collected by the district would be lost if it allowed free parking in those lots.
Three weeks until it begins anew
I am really excited about the potential of this season, but that is what every February holds. I am hoping that they can all play to their potential and the season will last into October. The 3 "old men" need to bring all they have, and the young guys need to learn all they can from Smolts and Glavine one last time around. Our offence will be fine if Chipper can stay healthy. Lets get football finished so my favorite sport can start. Play Ball!!! Does anyone know how many Braves games will be on TBS this year, if any. Living in the city that just lost the R-braves, I don't get Sports South, so I will be watching the games on my computer. .
Ryan brothers could be candidates for Jets' D.C. job
Too often coaches rely on their network of friends to fill jobs, ignoring more qualified candidates. As reported late last week, OL coach Tony Wise is officially out. From what I hear, he was unhappy with the Jets and was telling people throughout the season that he wanted out. .
PEIE, Tabreed Oman sign agreement
MUSCAT — The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) signed an agreement with Tabreed Oman to provide the first of its kind district cooling system to Sohar Industrial Estate. This landmark agreement was signed by Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, minister of commerce and industry and chairman of PEIE; and P. Mohammed Ali, chairman, Tabreed Oman. Over the past few years, the district-cooling technology has become widely recognised as an important development in helping conserve energy and has been proven to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in many cases. Indeed, energy experts suggest that 75 per cent of the energy used across the Gulf is for cooling purposes. By using district cooling, PEIE expects to reduce the amount of electrical energy used by its tenants by up to 50 per cent.
